Cubase 5.5.1	Jul 30, 2010	New Release	The hotfix available here addresses particular problems when running 3rd party VST plug-ins in the 32-bit version of Cubase, which are related to the Windows Vista and Windows 7 “User Account Control” mechanism. Issues with the included De-esser plug-in when used on mono tracks have been corrected under both Windows and Mac OS. The hotfix also provides the following improvements: • When batch exporting broadcast wave files, the time-code origin is correct now • Improved import compatibility for DV PAL video files • After applying a control room preset, the control room remains active The hotfix release is an immediate response to customer requests and is only recommended to users experiencing the above-mentioned problems. However, the hotfix has not been gone through Steinberg’s entire quality assurance process. For that reason, technical support cannot be granted and installation is done at your own risk.

Multi Core Performance - When using low ASIO buffer settings the multi core performance of systems with more than 4 CPU cores has been improved. Advice for improving real-time audio processing performance (PC Windows only) - Steinberg recommends to check and adapt the following settings to improve the real-time audio processing performance of your system, especially when using low latency ASIO settings: - Disable CPU Energy Saving: In Cubase you can find this option in the menu > Devices > Device Setup > VST Audio System. This option is disabled by default. By enabling it, the currently active power scheme settings from Windows will be duplicated, settings which are relevant to improve the system.
Cubase 5.1.1	Dec 18, 2009	New Release	* You are still working on Cubase 5.1.0 or older * You have already updated to version 5.1.1 but Cubase stops loading while the "Studio Manger" is being initialized. Also note that only the installer and the VST3 plug-in set have been modified in comparision to the older 5.1.1 update patch. This is why the installer shows version 5.1.2 but Cubase is still on version 5.1.1!
