The problem with changes to the registry shown on so many sites is that the people writing this stuff have the technical knowledge, but lack skill when it comes to explaining, step by step, how the non-technical person should go about changing the registry. Has it ever occurred to anyone that this is not a MicroSoft problem? It would seem that those who want to hurt MS could annoy a lot of people by placing a bug in their system to do just this.
