Limagito is a utility to automatically move - copy - delete files that are added to a specific folder. You can set filters based on the file name, rename files and directories (using regular expressions) when moving them to the new destination, create directories based on the file name or date and check if the file already exists. You can also set filters based on the directory name. The program can move files from/to local folders as well as FTP(S) directories and to Smtp. Limagito offers quite a few features that make the program very flexible and useful for a variety of file management tasks as well as file backups. It runs in the system tray and automatically monitors the selected folders for any additions that match your file moving rules. You can set up as many working threads as wanted (Full Version), each with individual settings. Other features include detailed logging, support for subdirectory scanning, command line options and more. The free Lite version 6 is restricted to a single moving rule but with most options available.

This free utility is ideal not only for moving or copying files en masse, but also as a kind of quick-and-dirty file backup. You can have it automatically move files not only between folders on your local PC, but also via FTP to a Web-based directory. If you want to perform sophisticated copying or moving tasks, be prepared to spend a bit of time learning how to use the program, because it can be daunting at first. There are plenty of options, and it can be tough to figure out how to use them all. But if you want to do something simple, such as merely copying or moving files either in normal fashion of via FTP, it's straightforward to use.

Weaknesses: The only negative is the documentation is not as comprehensive as it could be BUT the developer is working on updating it. Although the doc is not where I'd like to see it, the developer was gracious in clarifying areas I was confused. Clearing up my questions didn't take much, just a few sentences from the developer. Overall Evaluation: Bottom line, if you have to move or copy files from a FTP site or network, this thing ROCKS !!! It is worth being patient with to learn it. I'm going box-by-box to get an understanding of all its features, think I'm going to have lots of uses other than the thing I originally needed this program for.
