mvCentral is a Music Videos plugin for MediaPortal which scans your Music Video collection and searches the metadata online using Last.FM as the primary data source.

The plugin will support a base set of filen ames and folder layouts. The parser is flexible and through the use of custom parsing and replacements it is capable of supporting a wider range. The parsing engine and how it's customized is detailed separately (TBS).

This originally started out as project to maintain and move forward the mp-musicvids project by metalla_nz.

After Gup joined the project a new version was born, this is a total re-write and is based on MP-TVSeries & MovingPictures code - Many thanks to the developers for allow use of their code.

As of September 2011 this version is currenly undergoing final testing, bug fix and final enahancement prior to a release to the community.

I have placed a version in the downloads section for those keen to try out the plugin and help me test, as well as put forward suggestions for improvement.

If you test please report any problems, or enhancement requests in the issues section and please include log files. When reporting issues please include the steps required to re-create the issue and add screenshots for GUI issues.

The MPEI package includes skin files for Default, Default Wide and StreamedMP.
